I am excited about the creation of the Whites Creek High School Alumni Network and the opportunities ahead for our school community. The formation of this network truly puts the saying “Once A Cobra, Always A Cobra,” into action, as this commences a great partnership between our school and the Alumni Network.
Dr. Roderick J. Glatt, WCHS Class of 1985, remembers his late grandfather as a man defined by his heart for public service – and his determination to get things done. Judge Lillard's law office property will be moved from Robert E. Lillard Elementary to White Creek to be housed in the legal Academy.

On October 4, 2021, the President of Nashville State Community College Dr. Shanna Jackson visited Whites Creek High School together with Superintendent of Metro Nashville Public School (MNPS) Director Dr. Adrienne Battle and other MNPS officials visited Whites Creek High School to accentuate an important educational partnership. WCHS Executive Principal Brian Mells' hosted the visit. The partnership offers new higher education opportunities to historically underserved students. "Funding from the PNC Foundation will create an Early College program at Whites Creek High School, enabling students to earn an associate degree along with a high school diploma" (Nashville State Community College, Linked In, October 4, 2021).
Founding President Dr. Roderick J. Glatt was invited and attended the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at WCHS alongside MNPS officials and Mr. Robert Churchwell. The swimming pool areas was converted into a state-of-the-art multipurpose room, the first in the MNPS district. Go Cobras!
The Band of Distinction marched from the hallway into the new multipurpose facility, under the direction of Mr. Latham, Band Director.
WCHS Executive Principal Dr. Brian Mells welcomed all guests to the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony noted this historic event, the first of its kind in MNPS.

The multipurpose facility will be used by the Band of Distinction and Football team, among other things, for indoor practice etc.
On December 2, 2020, Dr. Roderick J. Glatt, WCHSAN Founding President personally delivered 48 - four packs of toilet tissue and 44 - bars of soap to help meet the immediate needs of WCHS Students. The WCHSAN Board of Directors has purposed to personally provide supplies this week to help meet immediate needs. On Monday, May 24, 2021, at 6:00 PM at the Municipal Auditorium in downtown Nashville, TN., Catherine Miller-Bowers, Member-at-Large(l), Dr. Roderick J. Glatt, Founding President(c), and Candace Y. Jones, Membership Chairperson attended the commencement ceremony for the Whites Creek High School Class of 2021, bearing gifts for the entire class to enjoy.
Each graduating scholar received an official WCHSAN Alumni T-shirt, Whites Creek High School lapel pin, and welcome into the Whites Creek High School Alumni Network, Inc. As each student received a diploma and exited the platform, they were ushered to the alumni network table and were given their gifts. While Candace asked each student their t-shrit size and presented the student a t-shirt and lapel pin, Dr. Glatt verbally welcomed the student into the WCHSAN and urged them to promptly visit the network website to activate their free one year membeship. Catherine captured memorable photographs of the event. This was a pleasurable and exciting united effort.

Dr. Brian Mells, Executive Principal of Whites Creek High School lead the processional of WCHS faculty into the auditorium to Pomp and Circumstances by Sir Edward Elgar.
Class of 2021 scholars entered the auditorium with smiles on their faces and pride in their walk, attired in gown and cap Cobra colors blue (for males) and red for (females).

On Monday, April 19, 2021, Dr. Roderick J. Glatt, President delivered congratulatory yard signs, for the WCHS 2021 graduating class, to Executive Principal Dr. Brian Mells. A coalition of seven active members of the WCHSAN sponsored this iniative (see below).

In his honor and with the expressed approval of WCHS Executive Principal Dr. Brian Mells, the WCHSAN Board of Directors sponsored the purchase and installation of a framed photo of Founding Band Director Robert Churchwell Jr. and the original band logo designed by Mr. Churchwell. You can find each item in the Robert Churchwell Jr. Music Center at Whites Creek High School. The framed photo of Mr. Churchwell is located on the wall near the Band Director's office. The original band logo is affixed on the wall directly above the water fountain in the music center. Mr. Churchwell picked both locations.
"This is something the WCHSAN has desired to do for a long time and this past Monday, we got it done. Mr. Churchwell has positively impacted the lives of thousands of students and he deserves this honor and profound remembrance" said Dr. Rod Glatt, WCHSAN Founding President. Current WCHS Band Director Mr. Joshua Latham said, "It is an honor to continue the legacy of Mr. Churchwell and I will continue to build on the blueprint he left behind."

The WCHSAN the May 2022 commencement ceremony and provided alumni t-shirts and a one year free membership in the Whites Creek High School Alumni Network Incorporated to every senior in the 2022 graduating class.
Representing the Network were Membership Chairperson Candace Y. Jones '87, and Member-at-Large William Stone '83. These members passed out t-shirts to each of the WCHS 2022 graduates.
On May 20, 2022, the WCHSAN provide breakfast/brunch to the WCHS 2022 senior class. Not only did the seniors receive free breakfast/brunch, but they were granted a one year free membership in the WCHSAN. Students were enrolled on the spot. The event took place at Whites Creek High School.
Breakfast/Brunch included Chick-fil-A nugets, hashbrown casserole, fruit, cheese and danish trays together with beverages. After feeding the students, remaining food was preserved for WCHS faculty and staff.

On Wednesday, May 11, 2022, WCHS Founding Band Director and Music Chairman Mr. Robert Churchwell, Jr. visited Whites Creek High School's Band Rehearsal. He was accompanied by retired Band Director Mr. John Sevier.

At the request of Dr. Hill, WCHS Student Government Association (SGA) Advisor, on March 7, 2023, the Whites Creek High School Alumni Network, Inc. provided supplies - roses and Crush drinks. These items will be used by Dr. Hill and the Whites Creek High School SGA to advance their goals toward the upcoming Whites Creek homecoming and 45th Year School Anniversary.
Dozens of roses and over one hundred cans of Crush drink were supplied to Dr. Hill and the Whites Creek SGA. Candace Jones '87, WCHSAN Treasurer delivered all supplies to Whites Creek High School.
